Why Work Together?
Working together can feel good and have very good results. But it is important to do the job well. If the team does not work together well, it can end up with many problems.
If you work together well...
- You will make better decisions, because you listened to what others said was important to them.
- Community members will understand all sides of a problem much better.
- People will trust you to understand what is important to them and do the best for them.
- People will support what you do and try to help you reach your goals.
- People will want to work with you again.
If you do not work together well or you work alone when you really need others...
- People will think you do not care how they feel.
- People will think you do not understand what is most important. And they may be right.
- Community members will get angry and feel you are trying to force your ideas on them.
- Community members will not support you and may try to stop you from reaching your goal.
- People will stop talking to you and will not work with you again.
- People will say bad things about you to others.
